Happy Monday!
Our Vision: Cedar Grove Baptist Church exists to create a space where people and families can meet Jesus, find community, and grow in their faith.
Our Mission: Our purpose is to love others unconditionally, learn about God increasingly, live to share Jesus intentionally and lead others to Christ continually in Lebanon, TN and throughout the whole world.
This week's Core Value is ACCOUNTABILITY.
I will exhibit accountability in my relationship with Christ and with fellow believers.
❖ By growing daily in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and submitting to His Lordship.
➢ "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me." Philippians 3:12
➢ "And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." Colossians 1:18
❖ By beginning and growing accountability partnerships with fellow believers.
➢ "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Prov. 27:17
The morning I want to ask you the same question I asked you yesterday morning...how sharp are you? Who are you sharpening? Who are you allowing to sharpen you? Have you grown dull spiritually? These are all very important reflection questions that can keep us focused on the task at hand. The beauty about living this life walking with Jesus is that we never stop walking with Him. It is a relationship that does not end. He expects us to grow closer to Him more and more. What a gift that truth is!
I love you Cedar Grove. I want to thank you again for the outpouring of love and generosity for pastor appreciation and my birthday. It is quite encouraging but also humbling at the same time. I look forward to continuing in ministry to you and the community. If you are a guest and desire to be a member, please reach out to me about our Membership Sunday coming up November 1st. I will see you at Midweek! Happy in the Lord, amen. Buh-bye.
