The IMPACTS of the GOSPEL

Good morning Cedar Grove family!

Yesterday was a day I will not soon forget. Being able to have a baptism, see our children worship the Lord, and people broken at the altar is a great Sunday. Our total attendance was 280. This is not to be taken lightly! We obviously will probably not have 280 next week, however, we are in the midst of a season of growth. We must continue to steward this blessing properly and steadfastly.

I want to recap the message from yesterday.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2

The Impact of the Gospel affects every part of our lives but especially in three areas.

  1. The Gospel Impacts Our Availability

  2. The Gospel Impacts our Adaptability

  3. The Gospel Impacts our Acceptability

It is time to stop conforming and begin to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. How we think about the things of God is how the things of God are a part of our life. So, may I ask you this morning...What is your mindset? Who and what gets your best? If not God I have bad news. You have set up high places in your life. These worldly priorities have become idols to you. I have good news though. God can tear down those high places and give you the strength to get rid of those idols. May we focus on Christ today. If God gives us tomorrow, let's focus on Him tomorrow.

I love you Cedar Grove. I cherish being your pastor. I am grateful for the prayers and the support. There's no stopping what God has started. Happy in the Lord, amen. Buh-bye.
