Happy Monday Cedar Grove!

Yesterday was a beautiful display of the saints gathering together for one purpose: to get closer with the Lord. There was a kind spirit in the place and careful attention was given to the Word. I praise the Lord for that.

I want to encourage everyone again this morning. Do not let sin deceive you through the law. The law is a way to reveal our sin and to display the perfect character of God. See it as just that. Yes, we strive to live in faithful obedience. However, we must enjoy His grace and mercy each day when we fail.

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For qwithout the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

The Holy Bible: King James Version, Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version. (Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2009), Ro 7:7–13.

The only way to not allow sin to deceive us is simple. Turn from any sin in your life, confess it, and live according to God's Word. When God's law and commandments expose your sin do not flee in shame, but get rid of it!

Church, I truly believe we are in a place where if we would just individually shift our focus on Jesus, corporately we are going to see God do amazing things. He has before, and He will again. I believe it! Do you?

I love you Cedar Grove. I love every time we are able to gather in Jesus name. Use this day to walk with the Lord in uprightness and faithfulness. See you at Midweek! Happy in the Lord, amen. Buh-bye.
